Overheated now wont start.
first things first yes it was my fault. No im not a noob and knew better. but i got stuck on the fwy in bumper to bumper traffic. lets start from the beginning my radiator had a small leak. it was fine drove it for months didnt leak much.
recently that changed more than i realized. anyway after about 45 minutes of sitting still it all boiled out i tried to make it home got halfway and it buried the needle so i killed it and towed it home.
got it running the next day perfectly as any other morning, drove it around was fine didnt get hot, no leaks. kinda got stuck at my buddies house but im like 99 percent sure i flooded. anyways i got it home and never started again.
that was a couple days ago. it doesnt smoke... run hot or displace any coolant. with the plugs out the compression sounds even and fine. but no starting... tried push started it and that almost worked but to no avail.
my question is am i fucked?
i swapped ignitors, tried starting fluid, nothing is working. i am going to compression test it saturday hopefully it comes out fine cause im out of ideas

based on the raving responses i got i figured i wouldnt post anything.
front
rear
compression was great for the original motor and 150k. the coolant seals are leaking barley.... turns out the douche canoe at oriellys gave me all trailing plugs and they were fouled beyond recognition. i threw some new ones in and drove into the sunset
no smoking, easy to start evern hot and like a teaspoon of coolant is dissapearing every day. i got some alumaseal but am debating on how bad it actually is leaking vs the repercussions of adding gunk to my new cooling system.
also i dont want to rebuild the motor for just the cooling seals, only to find out something else is wrong. vs driving it as it is

Thats cool your stop overheating. I wanna upgrade my radiator but i cant find any good brand ones.My car started overheating yesterday in the drive thru. But it cause i left my car sit for like 2 months. When i started driving it i forgot to check if the radiator needed coolant.

the bottle in. Almost immediate results.
This is my leak experience and the outcome. Had an external leak between the middle
iron and front housing on the top that leaked down to a pool at the intake
manifold to housing under the carb. Hard to see with a stock carb but with the
Dell on there I could see it easily. Also had hard starts after sitting more than a
week and rough idles after these starts with lots of backfires and some white
exhaust (but not enough for me to suspect coolant leaking). Sometimes had
hard starts when hot immediately after shutting down.
Put the alumaseal in and took the car out for a good drive. Got it nice and hot so
the pressure was up in the coolant system. Leak gone externally. Still some hard
starts and smoking on startup but less.
Skip a few weeks, no hard starts, smoking or misfires on start up. No more hot
hard start issues as well.
My theory is that as the engines age the tension bolts holding the engine together
get loose because of the torque pushing on the rear plate. I suspect if you were
to drop the tranny and retorque those bolts carefully it may also solve the problem.
The alumaseal is just much easier to do.

it starts up everytime, jut misfires on start up. ive never gotten any smoke at all. only when i flooded it. there was just a couple drops of antifreeze on the trailing plugs. then again i havent cleaned the plugs since installing new ones. but i havent noticed any more coolant dissapearing and the temp gauge is stalling really low as it should be.
