Overhaul/Rebuild Video's?

Curious what overhaul or rebuild movies there are out there for rotary engines? I saw what was available at http://www.rotaryaviation.com but i really dont know whats worthy or not. I don't have access to any junk engines to pull apart or to watch anyone, so I thought a movie would be educational. Watcha think?

the video would probably be a good learning tool but nothing beats hands on experience. you should be able to get a blown engine for very cheap to play around with

Theres a video of engine removal on FC and another on FD.

Then another rebuild video to overhaul a 13B. The 12A is simlar anyways. I got both videos by the way. You only need the 13B rebuild vid. You don't really need to buy a blown engine to take apart. I took apart a 12A 2 years ago without the video and it was cake.

Oh yeah, buy a 3-4 piece pick set or something. It makes it easier to pry out the apex seal springs, corner seals/springs, side seals, etc. Also the oil rings as well.

Does that video include any high performance tip as well?

Or just a stock rebuild?

He's right. But someone should step forward and make a rebuild video just for the internet.

The video includes a performance-tip for the 6-port engines (he rebuilds a 6-port 13B) aswell as some reliability mods.

Is worth every dollar. If you have the funds for a rebuild you should also pay the $30 for the video.

I Strongly agree... that's why I ordered it. Learning 1 more thing on a rebuild is worth the 30 bucks in my opinion..

There are actually 2 rebuild videos available. The first is from rotaryaviation, the second is from www.atkinsrotary.com

They don't list it on their website, but I e-mailed and got this reply
Hello Jon,

We do have an Overhaul Video but only for 13B not 12A. It will give you the general jist of the rebuild but not exact. If you do want to order the video it is$ 29.95 plus $8.50 via USPS Global Priority. It is cheaper Priority than Parcel post.

Kind regards,
Chandra
Both chronicle the rebuild of a 13b, but the 12a should be similar enough that anyone watching the 13b rebuild would be able to figure it out.

Jon
