Ordered MSD 6A, some other questions:

Just ordered an MSD 6A, 3 Blaster 2 coils, and a single coil mounting bracket. I have "newish" stock NGK wires that I will be using for the time being, unless someone tells me otherwise. What else do I need to buy to get this thing running right? Yes I've searched, I'm just looking for different opinions here.

I dunno if the stock wires are long enough... maybe they are. I got some of those "trim and crimp" 8.5mm accels.

The rest is common sense: 14 gauge wire, misc connectors, some electrical grease, liquid electrical tape, a file, a drill, a wiring loom.

Oh, and get some Autolite plugs for your leading, but be prepared to change 'em with your oil. Heh.

Maybe they do, but the Autolites are $.99 each, make more power, and will always be fresh if you change them every 3k miles.

I don't know why but the NGK's that I've seen in the states, and the ones I've seen back in japan don't look the same. Back in 2000 when I was stationed in japan, my friend bought a set of NGK plugs for his 1st gen that was back in the states. Soon as he got back he threw them into his 7(which by the way has a 4 port bridge). Fast forward to the present and he still has the same set in the motor. he's been checking them but they haven't fouled yet. I have never seen the four prong type spark plugs until I moved back to the states. I've seen the ones that look like they have a X carved in it but the only kind I've ever seen for a 1st gen has no X's cut into it.

Thats because those plugs that you see from the states sat for years on end and are basically over stock. I ordered a set of the 3 prong ones for my car to our store and the box must be 20 years old. I have seen the newer version ones with the X cut into them and they also came in a new pakage.

Four prong is BR8EQ-14 and the crosscut or 'X' or '+' cut with a smaller center electrode is BUR7EQ (higher number means colder plug).

Thanks for the info, but I'm a dumbass. If anyone could elaborate a little more, that'd be cool I should have all that stuff in my garage right now anyway, but yeah, a detailed list would be good.

Don't put the coild in sideways. They must be in the upright position for the oil inside of the coil to properly cool. Thats why I used three gauge bracket to use. I also used the magnecor 10mm wires (#R-100). There great and you can tell them to make them for a 3 coil setup.

The ones that I've seen at the parts stores in japan are like the ones you mentioned but without the X or +.
