Question Is it okay to run oil cooler hose this way?

I followed Trochoid's how-to for the FC oil cooler fitment on the front, I have it all done already but I have one question. Is it okay to run the oil lines from the bottom, go back up few inches and go back down? The reason why is that I have SS lines for those and I do not want to spend more money to get shorter lines. Is it ok?

Are you talking about having lines that are a little too long, and they kinda hump up in the middle? I say if you have no leaks, then no worries.

Pressurized system so it doesnt really matter. As long as they are not going to wear against anything or catch on something (like fan or...) and as long as they are not kinked/crimped then you should be golden

Thanks for the help, guys!

Yeah, the lines are a little long, about 5-6 inches too long.

try and route it around something so its not like a roller coaster, so route is slightly different and that way you will not have any problems with it going somewhere it shouldnt be going.

Just a thought, cuz 5-6 inches is a bunch

but yea ull be fine. as jeezus said make sure there are no leaks as well and no stress points on fittings

But if I route it around something, wouldn't it more like a roller coaster? Since I only have one lump like a camel.

you could just shorten the line.

As long as it's not going to snag on belts or fans, then you have no problem. The hump in the hose won't matter. It's not gravity fed, rather it's a pressurized system and 5 extra inches will not hurt anything, just make sure it won't kink over time and you will be golden.

You can, if you want to take it to a hydraulic shop to get it made there. Shouldn't cost more than 40$, but thats 40$ saved. It works as is, so.... yeah.
