WA Okay all you 12a gurus out there.. help me out.

I got a bunch of extra parts when I bought my car, and I'm having a hard time figuring out what everything is.

I know this is a front mount air oil cooler, and I know its in **** poor shape, but I'm more concerned about those oil lines. Are those all I need? Or is there more I should have?

Also, in the background of the first image there are 3 alternators. The P/O told me they're all 12a alternators, but I looked at them the other day and noticed 2 say Mitsubishi on them... but other than the pully they all look exactly the same right down to the mounts.. anyone know anything about that?

1. Heater fan and motor
2. Emssions crap ?
3. FB dizzy
4. More emissions crap
5. Don't use those old oils lines, it will affect your cooling
6. Probably has a tap in it for an oil return line from the turbo. Can't tell in pic.
7. Looks like a nice wrap around weber intake.
8. Its been extended to clear an intake manifold, just hope those welds hold.

2. Air Control Valve (ACV)

6. 'Front Cover," not 'end plate'. That spout sticking out to the left is probably a turbo oil return. It's not there on a "normal" cover.

Damn what a weird looking dizzy. Probably gonna give the emmisions stuff to my buddy who does scrap. About that weber im.. is that for a side draft?
And on the turbo manifold it looked like it was welded to be an adapter because the bolt patterns are different on the 2 pieces.. and any idea where I can get new oil lines? Is there anything special about them or can i just get some universal at the auto parts store?

Thanks for your help!

So wait? Is 2 not an emissions part? Is it like an iacv?

Thanks!

those "emissions crap" are required for smogging your vehicle. A mazda charged me $700 and that was just for the three-way valve.

Sell them on e-bay, they are gold.

So those bags of valves I chucked to the curb are worth more than the purchase price of my car?!?

EDIT: wait... I found them

No kidding? Which one is the 3 way valve? We have the 25 year rule here in WA, which means my car doesn't have to pass emissions. EBay here I come! I was about to toss them too.

I like the tubo mani...its the same idea I had. The weld quality is everything when you are dealing with that kind od heat stress.

blower, blower, emissions crap, emissions crap distributor, distributor, emissions crap , emissions crap, under radiator oil cooler.......

Like a dummy, I threw out the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. All it needed was a new pump.

I was putting in a rebuilt engine in, I heard a small "ting". The water pump housing bolt hole next to the thermostat cracked. Some one happily sold me a used water pump housing thinking , "now who would want a water pump housing on a 30 year old car?"

looks like the lower end of a distributor....there should be two square modules (ignitors)....another expensive obscure part...so much so that there exists a long complicated write up on how to substitute a GM ignitor for them

2 and 4 are both the same thing - air control valves. They vary a little bit between the 12A and 13B. It would be important to know what engines they came off of. They bolt up to the intake manifold.

I hope when u put the new housing on, you made sure the 2 really thin washers were still there on the 2 upper left studs on the front iron
