Question Oil Problems...

Hey, my '85 RX-7 has a pretty bad oil leak and am burning through a lot of oil. I was wondering if it is recomended to use any of those oil additives like "Slick-50" or other oil thickeners... thanx

i wouldnt, find the source of the leak and fix it. rotaries naturally burn oil. they are supposed to.

i would stay away from it. you need to find what is leaking. it may not be helped by stop leak type products.

oh, besides, stop leak type things only really swell the gaskets to stop the leaks. stay away!

Is it a 12a or 13B and have any idea where it's leaking.. Top of engine which side?
It's allways better to keep the oil topped off rather than add extra additives..
