Oil Metering Problems?

Ive driven about 1000 miles since my last oil change, my oil level is fine, and the oil still even has a slightly amber color to it.

The oil level has not dropped since the oil change (I haven't exactly been driving with a light foot), and just by smelling the dipstick the oil smell pretty strongly of gas.

This would lead me to believe that my OMP is allowing too much gas back into the oil, requiring a rebuild. This doesn't, however, explain why my oil light turned on.

HELP!

Gas can't flow back through the MOP. It gets into the oil by bypasing the side seals and oil control o-rings, particilarly bad on turbos. The harder you run it, the more fuel bypasses. Your oil may have actually gone down, but replaced by fuel. I have a TII friend that pre-mixes, his oil level goes up over time.

Ok so my OMP isn't a problem. My only question is, why is my oil light illluminated?

The oil level sensor can't distinguish between gas and oil, and the coupler is properly connected.

Oil light sensor only comes on when the oil level is 1-1/2 to 2 qts. low. If it's coming on and you are sure your oil level is correct, check the FSM for test proceedures.
