Oil Metering Lines

Apologize if this has already been covered. Couldn't find anything in the search.

The oil metering lines for my 79 are really brittle. Anyone know where you can get new lines? Mazdatrix only has one side.

Better yet is there another solution? I've seen people replace the later model lines with braided stainless. Has anyone done such a thing with the earlier cars?

Thanks, Herb

Buy some PFA tubing from McMaster Carr.

I followed the how-to here:https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/rebuilding-omp-oil-injection-lines-348068/. Easy.

I second going to atkinsrotary. . . . . . For $33 it's a fine buy. Why go through all the trouble of fabricating a custom set? In the mean time. . . learn to premix.

You can go to home depot or lowes and get chainsaw or weed wacker fuel line
and use that, plus its clear so you see if its working and its made to resist the
affects of the oil and heat as well. I used it to replace the old fabric/rubber ends on
mine and it works fine.

Speaking of making sure that it is working... is there an easy way to tell if the OMP is working? I have an 85 12a and have just "trusted" the fact that it's there, but would like to be sure that it is actually working...

That fuel line is made from a material called "Tygon" and you can also get it at hobby shops, they use it from gasoline powered rc models.
