Purolator PL14459 is what I use. Large filter area, decent quality filter, metal endcaps, anti-drainback valve, overall it's a great filter. Too bad I have to travel to the US to get them!

viper, the driveworks/advance auto oil filter has the same number (DW4459). The cute blonde parts gal said it is the same as a purolator.

So cute blonde and knowledgeable aren't always mutually exclusive.

Just got a case of Napa Gold 1182. Made by Wix. True quality. HUGE filter, lots of surface area. And this part # fits all my cars. Blackstone Labs says they filter great too from the oil analysis they send back to me.

I've used fram for years. There all crap really. Just depends on how you drive and maintain your car. 210,000 miles never rebuilt seems fine.

Is the 1347 better than the 1356 just because it's bigger? I got the 1356 about a thousand miles ago because I thought it was the only one that fit.

Big enough??? 2 Tall Moroso Racing oil filters. 23micron filtration, all steel (except medium). They're mounted on a Transdapt dual mount with 8an lines and a matching transdapt oil filter adapter. I suspect it adds nearly 4 qt of capacity to the entire system.

I use the Mobil 1 as its identical in build to the pricey K&N. Still the smaller format.
