Oil Cooler fittings and lines

I started with an 84, which has the abominable oil to water cooler, so I switched to the front mount. I got the cooler and the lines off of a friend. The problem is the lines don't connect and I can't find a fitting to fit the hose.
Here is a pic of the fitting on the cooler,

And the hose itself.

Is it possible that I have a GSL-SE cooler and 82 and below lines? Would that explain the difference? Where can I find the right fitting?

The fitting in your hand is a -10an fitting and the hose is of the factory type. I'm not sure what the name of it's type is. Nonetheless they don't go together. You got two options get the stock fittings for the oil cooler to use your stock lines. Or the better option buy some -10an steel braided hose and all the fittings for the hose ends and the engine. they will all look like the one in your hand. And then you will have oil lines that will more than likely never ever have a failure. Stock hose fail when they are old an the engine will empty all the oil onto the ground in about 2-3 secs if it's running. I know it happen to me. Mazdatrix sells all that stuff you need as well as other place I'm sure.

Let me guess your about 5-10 and 135-140 lbs right?

The hoses with the stock fittings are brand new with ridiculously high psi tractor hydraulic hose, so I don't want to just not use them. Also, I'm strapped for cash.

I'm going to look at a gsl-se today and see its oil fittings. I might be able to get them too if I'm lucky. Otherwise I might try and get an FC one since I also have FC lines.

Skidtron, yeah I'm 5'10'' 130lbs.

Does anyone have a picture of the stock fittings by any chance?
