Newly built Full bridgeported 12A, What fuel system ??

Hi Guys.

As my project car is coming together I am starting to think about what to do with the fuel system and therfore I search for opinions, every thought is welcome here.

Small story, bought the car totally disassembled, Full bridgeported the 12A engine, never worked on Rotary before, never started one before, therefore I an a little concerned about how to get this engine running.

I have the original Nikki and intake, I read about modding this for more flow, I could do that, that would certainly be the cheapest option, Cons: I think the Nikki will have trouble in delivering fuel enough at start ? Because of low vacum ? Also It will have a negative effect on Power output.

Buy a complete Weber IDA intake kit, that's alot money to throw at it, but would be easier to tune I guess and delivery full potential power ?

Go to electronic injection, Find some throttle bodies injectors, ECU etc. That would give alot of unknown variables and alot of work also.

My concerns is that this is newly built and I have zero experience in Rotary, I fear to destroy my engine with to lean mixture, bad timing etc. If I wait with throwing money at Weber/Injection, and use the Nikki for a start, to get the car running i can always upgrade later on, BUT how big is the headache to get the Nikki to provide fuel enough for a Bridgeported 12A ?

Does it makes sense?

nikki should have zero trouble getting the engine up and running. back in the day, the IMSA RS class let you run and port/cam/exhaust you wanted but you had to keep the stock intake, so the Rotary is bridgeport with a nikki, and they were doing about 180hp. so its been done.

IDA would add some power. its easier to tune, but it costs money.

EFI is probably the best choice, and might be cheaper than the IDA, but if you want to minimize variables and just get it running, its a good step 2
