I don't get it.. Really nice otherwise.. probably just used for drag racing.

I saw heat fluctuations with the stock radiator when it was really hot out & i was running it hard.. Through in a Turbo, and it seems to me you are asking for trouble..
That is just my opinion though.. Mounting up a radiator sucks though..

Thanks Mike!
Man, that looks like an OEM install. I love it. The Cosmo intake just looks like it BELONGS in there!
If found this site the other day, and I was going to PM you with it. But it's an FC with a Cosmo.

As long as you use a 3 core radiator, (Like a GSL-SE) with good E-Fans or stock fan clutch, you'll be alright. Although a Fan Shroud would help even more to keep the air flowing with velocity in the right direction.
Keeping ane eye on the gauges is always a good idea, no matter what cooling system you have.

my radiator appears to look stock but it isn't!!

i had it recored with an extra row of core fitted, and it runs a 16" davies craig fan controlled by the ECU which blows over 2000CFM (i think the size of the fan is the key to it staying cool) the cars temp sits between 84 degrees C and 86 C in traffic, the highest it has ever been was 90 C and that was during summer on a 40 C day, As for intake temps if it is 20 C outside the intake temps will be around 30 - 35 C in traffic, when i get up it they drop
cheers

thanks mate
I added some details and stuff to the sticky thread for you guys, i have also pasted them below
Engine & turbo details
- JC cosmo 13b, 8 extra dowels, large street port, built by dyson rotary www.dysonrotary.com.au
- Custom Garrett TA-45, running T-04 1.32 Exahust housing with P trim, and TA-45 76mm wheel and comp (have exact specs on comp side written down somewhere but can't find em
)
- Custom exhaust manifold, with 45mm turbosmart external wastegate.
- 3.5" dump pipe, feeding into 3.5" highflow cat then into 3 custom 3.5" mufflers.
- Turbosmart Vee port blow off valve
- Turbosmart type 1 boost controller
- Pnumatic relieve valve that runs before boost controller so i can remove wastegate creep alltogether
- Large custom Micks Metal Craft FMIC with 3" piping
ECU & Fuel system
- Micotech MTX-8L ECU
- Ignition has 4x bosch coils, 1 for each spark plug
- 550cc Pri's and 1700cc sec's
- 1/2" fuel pickup feeding into carter lift pump, custom 2L surge tank, 2x Bosch 984 EFI pumps feeding through twin 3/8 lines
- Malpassi rissing rate regulator
Tranny and diff
- Series 5 turbo gearbox
- 1 tonne presure plate, with solid centre brass button clutch
- Ford 9" diff with 4.3:1 LSD centre
Misc
- Series 4 turbo 16 x 7" wheels (only on the back at the moment as i haven't yet changed the stud pattern on the front)
- Car looks stock from the outside
I think that is about it let me know if i have missed anything
ahhh how much power, the same turbo that i am using has produced 550 RWHP on a serries 4 street port motor @ 28PSI & C-16 fuel, my engine builder said i should get the same if not a bit more due to the larger ports etc in the cosmo engine. Remeber that power figure is on a dyno dynmaics chassis dyno which is popular in Aus, on an american dyno jet, that would be over 600 RWHP
In street trim on pump fuel, it makes around 400RWHP on 14-15 PSI
If you get a chance check out www.dysonrotary.com.au they have an online store and stuff with lots of goodies
cheers

thanks guys
yeah i have to agree with you about the alternator lol, it looks horrible heheh, though it was slapped on there as a spare of the moment thing cause when i first got the car running, the stock s3 alternator, coudln't keep up so we grabbed that off an import engine and through it on. I am going to strip it down and put some new bearings, brushes etc in it, in the near future and while im there ill blow some paint on it as well

Jees speaking of heat, I had heat problems with track running with just a mild street port 12A. The stock cooling system is very marginal IMO...
Of course if you're only drag racing, in which case you don't even need a radiator
