Can you tell me the differences between the models and which is most desireable. Will any/all of them bolt up to stock manifold. (84 GSL 12A) or is a new manifold in the picture too?

I realize that porting and polishing as well as free flowing exhaust (last emissions test is next spring) are needed to maximize gain from the Webers, but hey, at that price...

Actually a 45DCOE is probably too small for anything but a stock port. I certainly wouldn't want to run one on a street port 12A.

Yes, you need a new manifold.

It will work but you won't get as much power as you would with say a 48 IDA. Also, if I had a half bridge I'd probably run some sort of four barrel to take advantage of the primaries down low.

piston pounder - why would you want to run a 2-barrel carb on a half bridge? You'd be losing the benefits of having a half bridge by eliminating primary/secondary function.

I need a welder, for all the projects I want to do. I guess I just need to take the plunge and spend the dough.

well the reason is I want to use regular 2 piece stock apex seals, and dont worry its a really small bridge anyway! Has anyone heard about or tried this setup? Maybee it will work good, ill find out.
