another dumb "wheres it go?" question

On the top rear of my engine, there is a small metal cylinder bolted down with about a 4 inch wire that ends in a male connector. My guess was that it is some kind of radio interference device or a ground, but I can't find the other end. Sooo where does it go?

Disconnect it and look at your oil pressure guage. Its wire connects to the wiring that is with all the emission solinoid wires.. IT connects to the female connector...kinda hiden in there.

This cylinder is a reference resistor for the signal for the oil pressure gauge. If I remember its like 1.86ohms or so, can't remember though.
