first start out with a new fuel filter, check for vaccuum leaks, and run some seafoam through it.

Welcome to the forum and the Darkside.

In the FAQ section at the beginning of the 1st gen forum is a thread on 'Bringing your RX7 back to life', start there.

Does it take a long time to reach speed? Ask kgray about that. When he 1st brought his SA to me, it took a full block to reach 6k in 1st gear. Exhaust was plugged.

In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, carb manual, etc..

lol yeah... i thought trochoid gave me a new carb because of the difference it made... oh and now the exhaust is, well, more free flowing to say the least.

thanks i put sea foam in it today. i was driving it kinda ruff around a corner and all of a sudden it like broke lose and started to drift i was amazed! it's still not running right tho it has some power from 1-2.5k and hardly any from 2.5-5k then at about 5.5k it gets power again. What does that mean? it's fuel pump ticks when the key is in the run position. and it still has all of it's emmishions because in Denver where i live it has to pass every year or so. along with the sea foam i also put octain booster figuring it would help clean it a bit. so if anyone has any ideas how i can get it's power to be constant, please give a shout. and Trochoid Thank you soooo much for the manule downloads there sweet.
