For Sale 85 RX7 GLS-SE Black 44K miles
85 Mazda GLS-SE RX7 Black w/44.462 miles on new engine.
$1500
This was my pride and joy.
I bought it and towed it home.
All 44,462 miles ago:
Put a new Mazda factory engine in it.
Cherried the body and painted it Black.
Fixed the leather seats and interior (black).
I gave it to a friend when it had 24,000 miles on it.
She gave it to her son when it had 36,000 miles on it.
He disconnected the power steering, drove it hard and traded it to me for a 1975 red Mazda rotary pickup truck.
It has syncopation in the fuel delivery that causes it to rev up and down on its own.
Sitting at an idle sounds like some jerk trying to get the car next to it, to race.
The brakes are at their end of life.
The seats have wear and some stitching is loose.
The drivers side exterior door handle doesn't unlatch the door, but the interior latch works ok.

I went out and tried to start it; and it wouldn't start.
I got some MMO into it, and it will turn with a socket on the main e-shaft but it hits a spot that stops the rotor from turning inside the housing.
My guess is there is some carbon on the rotor or housing that the apex seal is hanging up on.
Worst case...tear open the engine and clean the carbon/obstruction.
Best case...continued manual moving of the e-shaft will not break the apex seal and it becomes "unstuck".
Bottom line: New price $999.99
