New Dyno Pulls :)

Well came out pretty happy today from the dyno. I'm glad to see that I could make better numbers, I was hoping for 170, but that is quite a bit to ask for right now I guess. I'm extremely happy with my torque values though. 132 out of a 12a is pretty good, or atleast compared to what people are posting up. I also love that little extra kick of torque in the top end

Well last time I went out (Or i believe it might be the last time I went out on the dyno), I did a 152 whp, and 111 TQ. Here's the graph from that:

Here's the new one. The new one has the changed of redone exhaust, and also intake manifold ports cleaned up along with intake length being increased by 1/2".

This graph difference here, show's what 1 degree less than what I had of rotary split did. It really does make a huge difference in the car's feel.

You know what's interesting though, is that if you calculate it as HP per litre, I'd be at the same efficiency as a 13b doing about 187 hp

Thumbs up You have defined my goal :)

Listening to your car tearing *** up the road while I was eating dinner down
at the Dragon, I would've guessed that you had a lot more power than that.
But being so fast, at "only" 165 hp has to mean that everything is functioning
perfectly and you've done great work on the car as a whole. I still can't believe
how quick that thing is, or how powerful it sounded.

Once I decide to break out of CSP classing, I will be modeling my motor
after yours. That became my goal as soon as I found out who's car I
was listening to over dinner.

I hope you can make it over for the race next month. I really want to go for a
ride in that thing and get a first hand feel of the power difference.
And you will definitely get a chance to check out my suspension setup.
It will also be interesting to see if my suspension can make up for the
difference in your power. The course will definitely suite your car though,
it has a long history of favoring horsepower cars over the smaller nimble
cars that usually do well in autocross. Since you have the best of both of
those types of car, it will be very interesting to see how it turns out.

Keep up the good work Jamie...

Lol ... ya i get that quite a bit, but thats why I usually just answer the question of "how much horsepower does it have?" by saying " enough to get me in trouble "

And remember I was going up and down that road with a diff that had bad bearings in there ... so I bet I'm a little quicker than what I was at the gap. Also the way it climbs up through the range is pretty good too so that helps out in acceleration.

Also to give you an idea of the power and handling (actually this was apperently with a broken front sway bar). Last year when i tossed on the semi slicks, in the wet, I was only about a second behind a skyline and an STI. Also compared to a turbo second gen I was only .2 second behind. Here's the event that I'm referring too. (I'm S.Hammoudeh btw)

The guys that were really quick through there on that sheet waited till the end so that the rain stopped and we dried out the track for them ... those cheaters.

As for making it to that even, I'm 99% sure that I'll be able to make it. If I don't crash that I though the race before . It will be nice to see how much better the car will handle with the coil overs, better shocks, corner weighed chassis, and that bit more power

Who's Jamie????

Who's Jamie? I have no idea. Where the hell did that come from? I must have fallen asleep for a moment and hit my head on the keyboard or something.

Nice numbers. Looks like I'm going to need another ride. Your going to need to come with me when I finish the break in so I can use some of your dyno experience.
