Smile need suggestions on this FB:

got this 85 GSL-SE with about 124k, good body/interior, no damage or infamouse rust around the storage bins area.

was my friend's first rotary car, then not sure what to do with it now, cuz the "previous owner" couldn't find the key/title. but the car is NOT a stolen car.

1)sell it as is.

2)go get the title/key. but not sure how reliable those title companies are. or we can go through court for legal title, but takes time. too lazy....

3)part it out. but too lazy to do that... also, too bad to part out a good car. well, if I have to, I will find time to do it, I guess.

we will see.

Sounds like your too lazy to own a rx7

Contact your local DMV, they will tell you how to proceed.

I am not a lazy guy, rather to be really busy guy. the bad thing is that I am not busy of making loads of money. :-(

we went to DMV, guess what they told us? the old fat lady told me there are two ways:
1)get polic impound the car, then we can go through the aution to be the highest bidder to get the car with salvage title.
2)go to court to have a court order the DMV to issue the title. then the court needs loads of information. never done that before, so, not sure that is worthy.

another suggestion I got was to go to a junkyard for help to get the salvage title. but, we have never done that before, and have no connection. Junkyard may ask for good amount of money to do that. and it takes time as well.

believe or not, I am the owner of 3 rx7, and was the owner of many 7s. Just not sure which is the best way to proceed.

First you state that your lazy, then you come back and say your not lazy? Which one is it? Just messing with you

Anyways theres holes in your story here. Is your friend and the previous owner one and the same person?

let me clear this up:
never done before = lazy, because not sure that will work.

"previous owner" was the seller of the car, but not my friend. different person. I was trying to get my friend into rx7.

So. I take it your Friend bought it with no title because the previous owner had lost it?
If that is the case, go to the previous owner and have them file for a duplicate title because they lost it and all will be well.

easy to say than to do it, because the car was NOT titled under the "previous owner". The car came with the house she bought. and I believe even the "previous previous owner" didn't even get the car under his name as well.

what a messy when people buys car, and then not to title it.

Was there a copy of the registration in the car with the last owners name?

nothing at all. the car has been cleaned by whoever. don't think that the CARFAX will show the address of previous owner, due to the privacy. Plus, the car has been sitting there for many years with cover, and brick support underneath of the car to protect the tires/suspensions.

I don't know about Maryland, but in NC you can put up a bond and file for a new title. After a period of time, if no one has come forward and said they own the car, you're done. Never done this, so don't know the details...
