Need k&n air intake for first gen
They use to sell them with the power pulse white canister photo bellow now I can’t find the exact one for my Rx7 I see a lot that look round and the same but I’ll like a model number if possible cuz I see no point in having the intake and running a reg 5 dollar air filter that won’t let the car breathe better help thanks

It has to be 9 inches in diameter and either 2 or 3 inches tall .....
K&N doesn't make that filter anymore..... I bought one 9x2 from Spectre Performance...
For my custom Power Pulse air cleaner....

I have just the bottom of the RB power pulse air cleaner for a Nikki. U can use any aftermarket air filter top with it. I sold the top with a Holley carb I used to have. $20 plus shipping to whoever wants it.

This one from spectre has dimensions almost identical to the stock paper filters, a bit larger than the K&N with the same high flow reusable features, Might even be a better option than K&N.

As you can see it's way too big for the cleaner
The Power Pulse cleaner diameter it's for a 9 inch diameter filter. The Spectre Performance filter I bought it's 9 in diameter and 2 inches tall.
This is how it looks like....
I'm thinking about ordering the one that ray green showed on top just because it's almost 3 inches tall and i think it will move better the air than the one I got at only 2 inches tall.... I think it been 1/2 inch in diameter wider won't make too much of a difference.....

For reference, here is a photo of three air filters that fit the stock FB air cleaner, from left to right, with dimensions in parentheses:
1) OEM replacement paper Fram CA 3187:F2970N 20220 (10.25" outer dia, 7.25" inner dia, 2.5" tall)
2) Spectre SPE-HPRO160 (9.4" outer, 7.6" inner, 2.5" tall)
3) K&N A092B8 (8.75" outer, 7.2" inner, 2.5" tall)
All three are exactly 2.5" tall, which is needed to make a tight fit between the gaskets in the cleaner base and lid.
The thickness of the filter housing is smaller for the K&N unit (0.9") and Spectre unit (1.0") than the Fram unit (1.5"), but the K&N and Spectre units have more flutes than the Fram so I think the filtration surface area is similar for all three units.
The actual elements of the K&N and Spectra units appear to be identical in flute number, construction and thickness, the only difference being that the rubber housing on the Spectre unit is a bit wider.
Given the better flow properties for the unobtanium K&N and Spectre units, I'm switching to the Spectre SPE-HPRO160.
You can get it at Amazon for about $20:

The op is looking for a filter that will fit the RB Power Pulse air filter assembly.....the factory size filter is too big for that R.B cover....

Until just now I could have sworn I had an E2700 on my RB assembly, but I guess it's the A092B8. Perhaps it was sold as an E2700, who knows.
Ideally you are looking a filter with an outside diameter of 9", an inside of 7", and a height from 2.5-3". The inside dimension can vary a little bit, but I wouldn't go over 9" on the outer diameter personally. Thankfully K&N has the option to search their filters by dimension, so by doing a little looking we end up with quite a few options:
- E1010 (9" outside, 7" inside, 2.875" tall)
- E1050 (9" outside, 7" inside, 2.0" tall) [too short in my opinion, but it could work]
- E2640 (9" outside, 7.125" inside, 2.25" tall)
- E2660 (9" outside, 7.125" inside, 2.5" tall)
- E2670 (9" outside, 7.125" inside, 2.375" tall)
- E2710 (9" outside, 7.5" inside, 2.0" tall) [again, too short imo]
- E2720 (9" outside, 7.5" inside, 2.5" tall)
- E3500 (9" outside, 7" inside, 3.0" tall)
My top pick from the bunch would be the E3500. It looks to be pretty easy to get a hold of, and it's nearly the same dimension as the intended filter besides being a half inch taller. Do note however, I'm not certain if that would lead to hood clearance issues; I have not checked it myself. All the other filters are viable options as well, it just depends on what you can find and for what price. I would certainly suggest confirming how much extra height can be run before using a filter taller than 2.5".

I got yesterday the Spectre HPR0160 and looks way better than the first one I got at almost an inch taller....
On the top is the HPR2606....this one is 9 inches x 2 inches.
The bottom one is the HPR0160 and it's 9.5 inches x 2.75 inch's tall ... And it fits perfectly on my Power Pulse air cleaner...

Installed the 9x2 intake today idk I guess it riched out my carb cuz I was gettting a lot of back fire. But after a 1.2 mile nyc drive making some pulls here and there and after the 1.2 miles the aluminum radiato was smoking, but was weird was that the temp gauge was still being at like a 15 percent range not even at half way but the filter goes way way way lower then what the previous user showed its pass the bottom part. My father said yeah it’ll still get air do. But amma buy the 9x2.75 spectre asap

I'm not sure that the air filter will have anything to do with the radiator getting hotter.....maybe I'm wrong....but check on your thermostat and make sure it's opening and check your water pump...
