12a engine on Sandrail

I have an old sandrail with a Mazda 12a on it. The engine has a weber 40 DCOE carb and Racing Beat intake manifold. The engine isn't currently running but I did have it running for awhile. When it was running, it ran pretty good, but it was always hard to get started, seemed to wanna flood pretty easily. My question is, is that engine worth pulling and selling separately? From the time I've spent on forums and youtube while getting that thing running, it seems like the engine is probably more valuable outside of the sandrail. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Do a compression test. If compression is good, no need for a rebuild.

He power to weight ratio of a rotary is what sells that sandrail. I'd leave it in place and try to sell them as a package. If nothing else, you may find a rotary enthusiast that's willing to buy it as a fun project, and knows how to maintain the engine.

That's not a bad install and everything looks pretty clean. I'd leave the engine in place and hope for the best. Somebody put some work into making that fit in there.

No OMP, so you must premix to get the oil into the mixture, but you already know that right? A little dirty but otherwise looks solid.
