name that colour
ok, i saw an original SA today, which was still factory color...it was kinda a mix between charcole and beige...dark.... does anyone know what the factory called this color?

Oooooh. I know the color you're talking about. Kind of a bronzish color?
I worked on an early '80 that someone had swapped a Lake Cities sidedraft manifold, 45DCOE, and RB exhaust system onto. Beautiful rust free body, was the color i think you're describing. (Car didn't feel any more powerful than bone stock) It was a rare early model with the 130mph speedo. Sadly I think the car went to the junkyard and got crushed because it wouldn't pass emissions, which wasn't a problem in the county the car was purchased from. I *did* offer to give the customer my complete and functional emissions system from *my* '80 but that didn't happen.
All you rat's nest ripper-outers, the blood of that nearly perfect '80 is on your hands!
