Install tips, please read!

Guys
When you are wiring the coils and crank angle sensor, you use the colour wires that are coming out of the senor or coil, not the colour wire that is plugged into them on the factory loom!!!

IGNORE the factory loom colours and only use the colours coming out of the coil or CAS!

This has been a cause of 99% of the not starting problems!!

that's what i've been saying :P

Dale's correct though 100% This was the main reason my car didn't crank over the first time. I wired my CAS by the wiring harness colors not the wiring colors coming out of the CAS (yes they are different.. we can thank mazda for this retarded move)

Make sure to run 12v of switched power to the leading coil.

My problem was cold solider joints, MAKE SURE you have PERFECT connections

One thing to note on this. In the Lt8 Manual it specifies the YELLOW wire is not connected, after speaking with dale and kabooski, I found this was not the case. The manual is incorrect on this particular point.

The stock ECU harness needs to be unwrapped to get the wiper harness out, no cutting needed. Just take note of which plug is on the wiper motor and follow it back into the cabin, you'll see where it plugs into a box behind the kick panel. I did my cruise control harness the same way.

I was just going to poat a thread about something close to this, only a little diff........

The 2 tan wires on the trailling coil will be cut and linked to the one tan wire on the leading coils. Right? Then, the cut wires on the car side are left over. 2 black w/ yellow stripe on the tailing side and I for get what color on the leading side

Can I get any switched power from these wires, on the car side, for the coils?

one more thing, the pink wire that comes from the MT and goes to the leading coils (linked to the trailing coils) and to the fuel pump..........it will see the same switched 12 volts as the wires above? is that right?
