my first rx7...
So my roommate ended up getting paid to haul three cars out of some old duplexes, ones of them was a 83? rx7 which he then sold to me for 100 bucks, towed it home, and there it sits, needs the radiator and a new batter, i'm not familiar enough with these cars to know really what else needs to happen, if there wasn't a big hole in the front and a radiator in the back seat, i'm not sure if i'd notice that it even need one..
anyways, i've got a few pictures at www.pureroot.com/gallery/rx7
If anyone can take a look and point out what i'm missing and what i should go through and check?
All help greatly apperciated

Sweet! That's exactly how I got my first one. That isn't the original fan as all of these cars came with belt-driven clutch fans. E-Brake looks loose to go up that high. Engine looks complete to me. It doesn't look like an 83 though because it has an air oil cooler (or did???) instead of a water one like the 83-85 had. If this was changed as well, that's great. I think I see a header too.
I'd go with it!

Or, wait, it's got a clutch fan on the engine. So, um, maybe he was putting an electric fan in when it was abandoned...?

BTW I'd do something about that rust where the battery was.

The suggestion i got was that it looks like the radiator in the back might have been leaking and that was what he was in the process of fixing..
but then there's also alot of little bends in the front of the body and with both from quater panels off and the hood missing i could see it being a headon collition with something as well..
I guess it hasn't been registered since 1998 and probably was sitting around not runnign since around then,
Are there any steps i should take to reviving this after sitting so long?

Well, how do you explain the two fans?
Sitting that long is never good. Replace the gas, blow out the lines. Replace the fuel filter. Clean the tank. Flush the coolant. Flush the oil (heh). Does the engine turn over?

Also, pouring a little ATF or MMO down the small barrels of the carb might help get you enough compression to start.

Well, try to turn the engine over by the big pulley on the front.
