Is my egine flooding or?
Hey guys
today after running some errands, I got in my car and it would not turn on rite away, It sounded like it wanted to but didnt.
Now I have done the research on flooding and it seems if my gsl-se flooded I would have to remove the plugs clear the chambers of gas, dry the plugs and and try to turn it on, but that is not the case here
In order for the car to turn on I had to keep pumping the gas or keep it floored and then she turned on.
My car has only done this a few times, not very often at all, do you guys think this is a flooding issue, or fuel pressure
Now the fuel pump and filter are only a few months old, I am assuming that the fuel pressure regulator is built in the fuel pump.... I am just throwing the fuel pressure out there as one of my theories, what do you guys think?

Fuel pressure regulator is on the rear end of the fuel rail. I have seen engines contunue to run after the key was turned off and even removed from the ignition switch. In my case it turned out that the alt wasn't grounding after powdercoating.
Engines usually won't flood if they continue to run. Holding the pedal to the floor during start up is on part of deflooding as it helps clear out the combustion chambers.
