I dont think I can beat a 5.0 yet (with my 83). You should be able to take out a lot of civics, accords, ricers, etc.

I used to kick those Mustangs' butts with my stock port
RX4. I always figured the RX4 was faster than a 1st Gen. RX7, at least in a straight line, but to be honest I could never get one of the little buggers to have a go with me. Guess they knew the RX4's 13B was a force to be reckoned with. The 5.0 boys sure didn't, hahaha. When I resurrect the car this Spring, it will have the motor of death. -Mike

Good luck with your ride Mike. As for myself, i've bought my car in september 2002, I drove it 2-3 times and now, it's in the garage. I didn't drive it a lot because i have a temporary licence, i'm 16 so, in may 2003, i'll have my real licence, and of course, alot of fun is on the program

Cheers

5.0 Mustangs are pieces of garbage!!!! I mean there definatly fast ones, but the majoriety are crap.
I have killed around 10 5.0's (there are alot around here), with my stock port Gs. They usually really start pulling away at 110MPH though.
There fun...

what? 5.0 stangs are garbage compaired to what? theyre faster than the 281 stangs thats for damn sure. are you racing automatic convertibles driven by old ladies or what? mike-p on the other hand can take any 5.0 he wants just about as long as the 5.0 isnt mounted in a first gen
i might stand a chance against a stock one in my streetport 12a with some stuff but tuned as shitty as it is right now i dunno.

Mike,, It's not as fast as you had hoped,,huh ? for the money. for the bucks you spent on ,,what is it,,?? 70cid's
vs's say,,,a 5.0, or one of the other stroker engines,, i don't know how'd you go, me i'm ford nuts. i think you can buy those all alloy, all roller, vette crate engine, maybe with the 6 speed even. a 7 with that would be
MAD nuts !!! I've got a friend who put that engine/trans.
in a 73 240z. Fits perfect, with room to spare even.
I say run what cars that will run your 12a man,,Me i ****
with 5.0's etc, and in most cases the other guy is shocked to how fast my 7 is, or how slow his 5.0 is...LOl

Mustangs r just flat crap. (the hoped up 5.0 and the super charged 4.6) I eat them so dame ez in my mad TII . We are now at the point ...... that we hang out the window (when racing them) yelling stuff like "take it home , you blow" or telling them to "go..come on..go" when there all in it. I've seen "some" fast ones but, 96% of them suck. Supras are fun. they can give me a good run.

I was being sarcastic My car is not slow

Im just having buyers remorse, I spent in the upwards of about 11k on this car... Counting the bodykit and painting etc... It runs very very good, its just I mention something about racing a few mustangs and I get my *** jumped about it... If you personally wanna know, I raced a few GT's, 5.0 and 4.6's. I raced a 99 cobra and a few others. Didnt have any problem with them...If you wanna talk about a fast *** car out the box lets talk a 99 TA w/ a LS1. That is one fast SOB out of the box, he almost took me no problem. Id never have anything GM in my garage tho.

Now for the ones that put piston motors in your 7. I believe that its your car do what you want with it.. But my personal opinion on the subject is you coped out on it. A v8 and a grannysspeedshop kit isnt a hard mod, actually its pretty easy, and cheap.. If you wanna practice your fabrication skills do it WITHOUT A KIT! Enjoy your cars the way you want to.
