Really depends on the year of the cobra I suppose. But the times for the Last Cobra 5.0 body styles spank the TII.

The quickest stock turbo II was about 14.9 15.0 in the 1/4 give or take a tenth... The slowest Cobra was probably mid 14's...

I'm sorry, but that guy/girl couldn't drive worth crap. Off the line I can believe since that takes driver skill, but running through the gears a monkey can handle.

the fastest I could see a true stock tII going is high 14's. One of my friends has a 89GT 5.0 - bone stock ran a 14.6, now he's running almost 13flat. Shows how much driving is part of the equation, or possibly the car was in poor condition

dunno what year TII it was but if it was 5 series then it had 200hp only 25hp less then a stock gt mustang which weigh more.
What do the cobra's have 240hp??
Drivers of equal skill the cobra should win.

Which was it? Shifting into 3rd or 40mph? Cause you'd have to be doing a shift at ~4K to be going into third at 40..

Sorry, but still, how do you call a run from 0-40 a win? That's not a kill..

hahaha yea good point
i would say the top end of 3rd gear in our car is pretty much where a race should and does usually end at.

u lost that race if u stopped at 40mph lol o well good try

I raced my friends 94 Mustang GT(5-speed) and KILLED him by close to 5 car lenghts. My 7 is a 87 TII and when i raced him i was mostly stock- (no-cats,acv,airpump, and EGR. TB mod, E-fan, cut-airbox with stock filter, and some taylor plug wires). Since then i have put on a K&N cone filter with HKS adapter and a walbro fuel pump. Only prob not is i hit fuel cut some times in 4th and on a cold day i can hit it 3rd 4th and 5th. I dont thing mustangs are fast they also have that V8 take off *spin*. All I do is hold the e- brake a little rev to about 4k and take off slowly releasing the E- brake. When the E-brake hits bottom I slam second (yes slam I hate hearing those gears grind) and all hell brakes lose in the *** end but you have to show a little tire breakage to you opponent BEHIND you.

I honestly dont think a bone stock TII could beat any of the 93-02 Cobra's, but, just my opinion.

'93 Cobra - 240hp 280tq 13.6-.8
'94 - '95 Cobra - 240hp 300tq 14.4-.8
'96 - '98 Cobra - 305hp or so 300tq 13.7-.9
'99 - '02 Cobra - 320hp or so 310tq 13.6-.9
the new '03 Supercharged Cobra - hahah, this thing is a BEAST! new dyno numbers in......bone stock......389rwhp!!!!! 368rwtq! hahaha most likely mid to low 12's!! Man, I am in love with this new Cobra.

I bet the Cobra was automatic?&nbsp Was there such a thing?
All Mustangs have very tall 3rd gears - even stock Turbo II's will walk all over a Mustang in 3rd.
