So i bought a 85 gs a while ago i am slowly fixing it up. My question is what is a good muffler, I have a single pipe and it sounds like a high pitch coffee can i would looking for something that sounded a little closer to the stock.

stock=RB also magnaflow and borla are good.

what ever you use it needt to be packed with stainless steel or it will blow out verry quickly.

Make sure you post in your thread title a better decription of what the thread is about "Muffler" if not a good title.

If your looking for a stock sound then get a racing beat full system they sound good and have good preformance while the stock sound is deepend but a little louder i would say to me it sounds like putting a Borla system on.

a sound clip or video would be cool to give an idea of the tone

I have a Mindtrain header into a 24" Magnaflow into a Racing Beat PowerPluse Muffler.
Increased performance immediately and the car has a nice low rumble at idle is ultra quiet at cruising speed and you know it's there at WOT.
Whatever you decide, don't go the cheap route, you'll just be replacing parts in a few months....maybe a couple of years at best.
