MSD coils will provide a stronger spark, but you'll need to upgrade the rest of your ignition system to make the most of it. Aside of buying a dual MSD box setup (very expensive), upgrade to 8mm plug wires. That will help make the most of those coils' charge going to your spark plugs. You will need to get some sort of ballast resistor for them (it's mentioned on their packaging of the part number) to since you won't be using an MSD box. And, the coils state that they cannot be stuck in horizontally. You'll need to stick them vertical.

I've had mine mounted horizontally for many years as well as in my other 7 that was my daily driver and they have no issues.
To get the most out of them do as 85FB suggested and run MSD 6A or 6AL box in combination with them.

Thanks for the tip lwnslw. I was afraid that mounting them horizontally would somehow mess them up or something. Since someone else has done it, now I have some peace of mind.

I've also included a picture of how the MSD box setup would look like, both single and dual. Dual is expensive, of course, due to buying two MSD boxes. As far as other brands, I'm not sure. I think some run a different kind but can't remember what.

Do a search on MSD setup. It will tell you exactly which wire to splice into to use your tachometer.

Do I need a ballast resistor? I'm currently running msd 6al with a fc coil without the ballast resistor, seems to work fine...

You'll only need the resistor if you don't have an MSD box. I remember reading that on the back of the MSD coil packaging before. I believe it's because the amount of voltage those things produce is something the stock ignition setup can't handle properly without an MSD box.

Keep in mind that there are two versions of the blaster 2, I'd keep the oil based one vertical, but the other one can probably be mounted horizontally without much problem.

I had them mounted horizontally when I ran the blow thru setup, with no problems whatsoever.
