does a moonroof from an 80 fb fit perfectly a 83?

 

it should, iirc 79 was the only different style moonroof, all 80-85 should interchange

 

Actually, I think its the 81-85's that are interchangable. The 79-80's are different.

 

victoria british lists parts for 79 seperately from the 80-85 ones, so 79 should be the only non interchangable year

82transam is right the are 80-85 are all interchangable.. Just the 79's were different.. I know from experience..

 

from what I've read the 79 has more of a pop up lever mechanism vs the screw type that the 80-85 ones have. Never seen a 79 with a moonroof in person so I can't say for sure, but I think thats the difference. Here's a related question, I recently got a glass roof (the 80-85 style) but one of the little caps that goes over the screws is missing, anywhere I can get these? If not anyone have an extra?
