Momo steering wheel adapter question
Good evening to everyone. I recently bought a momo monte carlo wheel and momo adapter 5702.
Well, in short the hub doesnt seat far enough to engage the turn signal return or the the contact for the horn. Does anyone know if there is a better adapter? Or what adapter is everyone using?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Funny enough I am fighting this exact same issue right now. The problem isn't that the 5702 is wrong, it's that folks are shipping either a 5705 or a 5711 in it's place. I've had this happen to me twice now and while the spline is correct, the offset of the hub is too far to contact the horn ring. I just about guarantee that if you look for the stamped part number on that hub (on the outer permiter) it'll be a 5705.
Most recently I placed an order with Jeggs and hopefully the right part will arrive (it's currently back ordered). Previously I ordered from MAPerformance who cancelled my order, then an eBay seller who sent a 5705, and most recently from LTB through Amazon which sent a 5705 in a box relabeled as 5702. Quite the frustrating experience.
So that's all to say double check the part number on the hub itself and if it's wrong, get in touch with the seller and figure out a return. Apparently these hubs (which are also used on NA miatas) are a little uncommon presently.

Ben,
. Yes, I bought from the same amazon vendor. I will look for the stamp as soon as I get the chance.
I was thinking since it is a straight section before the spline which keeps the hub from sliding further that I could take the hub and original wheel to a machine shop and have the correct angled hole bored. Of course I really dont really like this idea of modifying a brand new part, I am about at a point of annoyance.
Let me know what happens on you Jegs quest as I will be hoping for the best for you.

Just wanted to add another source for the momo wheel adaptors. I recently bought one from the Momo Motorsports store on Amazon. Did not install yet, but it is stamped as 5702.

Basically every Mazda has the same spline size and pattern, the difference between hubs is the offsets (if you went the other way, you'd crush the combo switch)
its also possible to extend the nubs on the turn signal and horn, i think we used some bullet connectors they fit on the nubs. and then the horn was a modified nail, lol

I bought a 5702 recently... and it was quite a strange experience. I had the same fitment issue as above the first few times I tried to mount it. Felt like it was engaged on the splines properly each time, no play. The nut wouldn't pull it down tighter (although I didn't try cranking it down too hard).
On roughly the fourth time fiddling around with it, it seated properly and now goes on and off perfectly. Not sure what was holding it up so no idea if it was user error or something else, but might be worth trying to re-seat it a few times.
