Source of Headliner Vinyl

Working on my headline whilst waiting on replacement axles.
Anyone successfully sourced black foam backed vinyl for covering their headliner? Tried Amazon, but surprisingly difficult to find plain black vinyl that is 42 inches or wider. Thought I had found one, but arrived with stripes embossed into it! Does not need to be an exact match to OEM. Just black vinyl, smooth or a slight pebble texture.
Thanks!

This isn't vinyl, but I just redid my sunroof panel in foam backed headliner fabric. Got it on Amazon from SARANDAVE. This company doesn't have foam backed vinyl, but you can find it on Amazon. I used Gorilla spray glue. One tip is to spray each part with just enough to cover all the area but do not over do it. Let it dry for 20 minutes before applying fabric to part. And ensure to not get glue on your hands and handle the fabric. I had to start over once.

I think that calls for a "How to" post!

I have not researched or purchased headliner material from this source, but have received free carpet samples when contemplating redoing carpets over the years. Carpet samples we well-constructed, in various weights, backings, and colors very close to Mazda’s. You might have luck with their headliner material.

I have some vinal left that works for interiors . I can measure it for you . I don't know how wide it is though but it's pretty long length wise.

Appreciate the offer. Ended up taking a risk on a no-review Amazon product that worked well. Just one crease, and that was my fault.

Would you mind taking pics of the bare interior roof?

I'd like to make my own headliner as well and would like to see possible anchor points before I rip mine out.

Here you go. Let me know if any detail areas needed. No sunroof, maybe someone has the variations for that.

Liner was held on by four white clips on edge of hatch. Shown circled red in one pic. Otherwise just unscrew rear view mirror, Sun visors, and the plastic trim around doors and hatch. I removed the square approx 12x12 vinyl panels between door window and hatch after removing headliner, but in hindsight may be easier to remove them first. My liner board was pretty good, but 12@ square panels were really dry and cracked on removal. Easy to trace in new board and remake though.

Also purchased a bunch of dime size magnets and glued them under the vinyl where it wraps back over the liner board for a couple of inches. Hoping that will help close the sag at top of front window and hatch. Also purchased some larger magnets that I will glue to the liner board towards the center of the roof to help the board hold its bowed shape.

Thank you, those photos are very helpful.

I was thinking of making something like the "rafters" used in old Golfs to prevent sagging.

Had a friend with an older Lotus Elise. It’s soft top installed in pretty much the same way. Kinda like putting up a tent.
