Major issue with 84 carb rebuild, air horn will not come off

Following the procedure in the Mazda Carburetor Manual, for the 1983-85 section, I get to step 19 "Carefully lift air horn straight up from main body."

Problem is, the air horn does not lift off.

It looks like some type of sealent was applied when the carb was prevously rebuilt in 1997.
And yes I did take out all 7 screws.

Any ideas how to seperate the air horn?

NEVERMIND

In neither directions does it state the obvious that you need to remove the center bolt/stud.

(sheepishly goes off into the distance)

I think everyone has to go through this ritual at least once. Don't worry, you will forget about it until next time. Ask me how I know. Hahahaha

Don't feel bad, my daily driver is a 2000 Acura RL and I had it in the shop to have my new coilovers installed, and was taking some measurements of the lower control arm for the company that makes the kit. The tech that was removing the old coilover was smacking the three mounting studs with a rubber mallet to break it lose. I looked in the engine bay and said "it will come out a lot easier if you remove the two additional nuts that are connected to OEM strut brace. We have "all" have been there."
