Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak???

anyone else use this product??

i put some today... and it guarantees to stop leak and stuff...

does it work?? i think my pump is flooding out power steering fluid and i think my steering gear is also doing the same...??? does the steering gear leak eventually too?? i know the pump is bound to leak but the steering gear...???

i've search it out... but all i get is adjusting the free play on the steering gear...

I used it on my old '87 Caddilac ElDorado. The pump and rack were squealing really bad, and the Lucas quieted it down almost immediately. It should seal up small leaks, but if it is really bad, nothing can really help it.

You could always just take the power steering out!

or not... check this....

I was making a left turn and i thought i would do a burn out turning left... rev her up then i guess i wasn't use to the power steering being soft and i over turned and almost spun around... i was swirvering around for a couple of seconds.. i noticed there was a POLICE LAPD right there on the opposite lane and i was literally on both side of the road... i was lucky enough there wasn't a car close to me except for that COP... i told him that my trottle was um...(exact words) then he just told me to slow down... and that was it... after that my power steering went out... i can't feel my power steering anymore...

any guess what happened?? before i did the spun out it was soft... when i got out it got hard... any guess?? did i blew out the fuse or something???

I had leaky PS. Tried a couple of the stop leaks, but it was a cracked hose that eventually gave out. So no, they won't work in every or even most cases.

I removed the power steering, eventually I'll just buy the hose from an autoparts store. Make sure it's not a simple fix before wasting your money.

Yeh that Lucas stop leak will fix anything, it was originally developed to stop the smoke from leaking out of MG electronics. Lucas, Lord of Darkness.
