some people just like carbs over efi. you actually hear some of the second gen n/a guys going to carb. no EXACTLY sure why, but i think its tunning purposes.

if the manifold is just the upper, then you should still have the actuators, im sure you could get them to "work" but who knows if they will actually kick in or not. if its the upper and lower intake, then the actuators are gone, so wire them bad boys open... im sure someone else can give you much better help than me though

Perfomance advantage?

Well carbs are pretty easy to toy with if you have experience with them. EFI can be more expensive, if you buy stand alone computers and high flow injectors and such...

No more actuators. 6 Ports open all the time with the Holley Kit. It replaces youe LIM as well.

I prefer not to use the sleeves at all.

just wire the sleaves open, you'll be alright.

Exactly.

Nope, you don't keep the stock LIM. The racing Beat Manifold will replace both upper and lower manifolds.
No more actuators, no more sleeves.

yes...there is no use keeping it since youre using an aftermarket manifold.

for clarification. if you have the stock mani, you can either leave, it take it off or wired it open. I prefer not to use it all. maybe there has been some changes in the design since the last 6 port I owned was in 1989.
