LS seats...leather or vinal

what are they?? i dont know what to use to clean them. armor all or like products which clean plastics and vinal or should i go to a full leather treatment?

Its Leather!! (otherwise your car would have been a "Vinyl Sport" )
try the Lexol products, there is a cleaner, then a conditioner, or similar - quite a few out there. BUT TRY A SMALL TEST AREA FIRST!!! Sometimes these cleaners, etc. leave the surface feeling "sticky". Do NOT use an armorall product - will plug up the pores in the leather :p
Don't forget the steering wheel and shift ****. And for the threaded seams, get an old toothbrush to work the cleaner and conditoners into the seam to clean properly.

ha sweet. the materials seemed the same but i didnt wanna damage the seat or the head liner

the headliner in my Leather Sport is leather. the rear wheel well humps are vinyl.

yeah, most of that headliner and some of the side panels are leather. you'll feel a difference between the wind deflector which is vinyl and the headliner and such.

uhh, I think you guys are going to discover the headliner is also vinyl - different grade or type maybe, but considering most _higher-end_ cars (BMW, Jag, etc.) don't do leather on the headliner, you can be sure mazda wouldn't bother - and FWIW, while the Mazda Parts Book goes to _great_ lengths in noting the various leather trim on the seats, steering wheel, etc. and all the fiddly parts thereof, the Book does NOT specify a leather panel for the roof...

That is a sweet looking LS!

Are you the original owner? I have the same car (with a MUCH harsher interior) and can barely remember when the original owner (Dad) had it looking that nice.

nah im the third owner. ps i love the louvers on your car. makes me wanna get them.

mazdaverx713b also has the same exact car as us. well i have a bit less miles than him still and i have since put some go fast parts on the car.
