Looks like Old Skool has a new running mate...

Actually a couple of running mates...

Many of you will recoginize this car as it was built by Billy Waits many years ago. The picture is from a long time ago...she still looks like it did all those years ago and has all the RE-Speed goodies...now she has a new power plant. Built S5 motor with a Camden Supercharger...

I will have new pictures soon. I bought it today.

Now the garage will have the 19K mile 82 Wide Body (Old Skool), 18K mile 88 10thAE (Middle Skool), 46K mile 93 FD (6-16-15) and the 82 Blue Widebody (6-15-15)...

My wife thinks i have completely lost my mind.

Widebody FB's are too sweet. Looks awesome. Is there a thread or something with more info on it?

What is the story with the RE-Speed car? I thought RE-Speed was based in London Ontario. And now his FB is in Texas!

FBs, FC, FD you are crazy.

RE-Speed was started by forum member bwaits in Georgia, then sold it on to the guy in Ontario.

Cause I don't know what happened to Billy from re-speed? Is he still in Georgia? I wonder if he could start making parts again under another name since re-speed went to crap.

That car brings back some memories. The OGTA lakehouse meet was the first place I ever saw it in
person. Glad someone has that knows what its all about and is keeping it pure. It was really a show
mule for Billys work in a way. Had every bit of stuff RE-Speed made on it and also some prototype
bits. It would be cool to start a thread on that car and get a lot of pictures of the mods and see
if we can get Billy to weigh in with some back stories and descriptions.

even tho the business sold, billy kept the car. it later got sold but stayed in the states. fastrx7man may be the 2nd, or even 3rd person to own it.

he's still in GA as far as i know. haven't seen anything from him on here in like a yr when he was posting his build on the repu.

anyone know how that's been going lately?

Pictures of Billy's Re-Speed Marketing Device from the 7/7/2008 Lakehouse Meeting:

I have to say, I liked it just fine with the ported 12A:

That's Tim, confused as usual:

And that's Billy strolling on the driveway and Michael pinching his ****:

Yep, that's a bone stock 79 in mint condition, still has the 4 speed, plaid seats and points distributor.

It belongs to Andy, an OGTA who we haven't seen much of since he had a kid.

It's a Pacifica widebody kit if I'm not mistaken, just like mine. The only thing throwing me off is the hump above the rear wheel - mine is smoothed out.

I love your collection, I was in on the thread where you bought the black widebody. Someday I'll have a collection similar to yours including an RX-8, and maybe a REPU and RX-3 for good measure. But like DD says, you can only drive one car at a time.

Congrats!

I sent Billy a PM to see if i can get some more info on the car. Once i get the car back to Dallas i will take a bunch of new pictures and maybe a video or two. Based on the responses i received so far, i am going to start a thread specific to this car so i can try to get more history....

That would be cool. Put it in the 1st gen non-tech section and folks will pile on,
hopefully, with the info and it will be an entertaining thread. I'm sure Ray has a lot
more embarrassing pics involving that car he would like to repost.

Here are a few pictures i took of her tonight. She's having a little work done to her. She will be headed to Dallas in about two weeks. The car sounded really cool yesterday with the supercharger...

Good score, fastrx7man. Been a bit busy and haven't been on much in the last few years. I'll try to post what I can remember about the car that wasn't already posted.
