looking for the hidden sub boxs

well as it says there way a guy on here a while ago that had his subs hidden in the boot area between the rear lights.
im pretty sure it was 2 10" subs.

with the flap down it looked completly stock, so people wont smash my hatch to get to them

just wondering if anyone has any pics or knows where i can contact him?

-Cheers

I am guessing that you are talking about the spare tire area. A sub box could be made to fit in this area, and covered with the original carpet.
I tucked a bazooka sub behind the drivers seat. It fit perfect for me, 'cause I am short; and you can't see it.

Yeah I've had my eye on that setup too. When I get my system I'm definately copying that idea for dual 8's...

Anyone have dimensions for the boxes that go in the back near the taillights? it seems like the perfect setup.

I don't need a ton of bass, I just want a single 10" in an enclosure built to replace half of the compartments behind the seats. I want to relocate the battery to the other half.

Has anyone seen this config?

Close. I, too only want tight solid bass in the amount that was mixed into the actual music. I have a single 10" MTX ( dual voice coil ) and the sub amp mounted in the wheel well ( no port ) airtight with 1" plexiglass. I put a caged cover over the sub, then trimmed the carpet around it and over the amp for viewing. Looks factory. Sounds awesome. I've found that the storage compartments are too valuable for 6x9 speakers.

There's still room in there to put a remote battery. That's on my "for sure" mod list, too.

Thanks They were filled when it was painted, along with the holes for the body emblems and power antenna.

What are specs on boxes? How easily are they removable for bulb changes? Please give some specs and whatnot. Also, are they available sealed and ported?

Fiberglass boxes, 1 screw each to hold them in place, they fit snug but I added a bracket to make sure they don't go anywhere in an accident.
Sealed, no ported as it would be $$$$$$$
Cost, no clue. waiting till I dig into them, going to go thru serveral glassers in town to quote them. This is months away so sorry for not having more accurate info
