LE power steering? (links in FAQ don't work)

I was wondering if my 1983 Rx7 LE has power steering. I think it doesn't, my dad thinks it does. Who is right? BTW I am only asking this question because neither of the links in the FAQ describing the features of the different models work. If you could give me a working link to those pages, that would be great. Thanks.

I don't believe PS was introduced until 84, though someone might post in a moment and expose me as an idiot.

Edit: Just look at your steering box, if there are two lines leading from it to a power steering pump or linked together to disable the PS then you have PS. It should be obvious, check the internets for pictures of both box types.

Out of sheer curiosity, since this information is also missing from any FAQ or thread for that matter...

What size are the threaded fittings on the power steering pump? I assume its the same unit for all first gens equipped with it.

the 83 LE does not have power steering and it was never an option until 1984. in 84 power steering was optional on the GSL and GSL-SE.

So does anyone know what the size of the threaded holes for the power steering fluid lines are? I'd rather just relate it to this thread than wasting space and making a new thread. The FAQ doesn't seem to list it anywhere and the search just brings up power steering mods but no information on actual line thread size.

No one has any input on this matter? I would use my old PS lines, but they were not on the shell when I got it... So I was hoping that a member had noted the size and pitch of the tubing? I'm just going to make a small u-bend to loop it, but I need to know the size of the fittings.

Thanks Doc, I didn't even think that the parts store website would actually have that information.
