Just how loud will i be?

i just bought the racing beat headers for $170 at a local store, got the Y shaped pipe and everything, gonna run a straight pipe to replace cats then to stock muffler. How loud is this setup gonna be? will it sound good? and how much HP gain will i get, my engine is 93k miles and perfect compression.

thanks!

think of it like this bro ok. YOu have f*in rx7. it could sound like a damn 4-wheeler (mine) and still haul all the *** hell. Ok. Who cares if it sounds nasty. Laugh at people who crack on you and call the cops, hehe your faster than them. the rx7s that race don't even have mufflers. They just run straight pipes. Do you think they're worried about noise?

yes right now i have hollowed cats and exh manafold. Sounds like a Super lawnmower on steriods and crack. It spudders alot and 1-2.3k RPM is where it spudders bad, now it will all be fixed, im hoping to be able to notice a good change in power

Everybody has a different threshold for annoyance, but I'd put on a presilencer. It will have virtually no effect on power, but it will make the tone mellower and make the car more pleasant to drive on a daily basis.

I have the long primary system (two presilencers, one each) and have run for a long time without it hooked to the muffler.

It is L-O-U-D-!
The muffler quiets way too much for me, but without the muffler, I can't carry on a conversation at any cruising rpm at all!

I need something in between.

-Perhaps replacing the presilencers with a straight pipe, but retaining the muffler?

I don't know how loud your thinking, but if the volume level is similar to a 5.0L Rustang with 20" cherry bombs as mufflers just off the headers, then thats not bad. I could live with that sound all day (not talking about the V8 sound, just the volume). What would you compare a rotary to with that exhaust mentioned.

My god people. I'm just getting right pissed off at all this rice rocket, ricer stuff. WTF is wrong with you people. Just give an answer that doesn't pertain to the fast and the furious. I actually like that movie. It may be kind of bull ****, but its a good movie nonetheless. I'm sick of always hearing something about an item being ricey or something like that. Give a REAL opinion sometimes. Not this BS ricer crap.

rant over.

Well it sounds nice, but sounds like ****.
Both at the same time. You will kill your muffler in no time and you will get tired of it soon. Spend another $200 and get couple of silencers and a good muffler to make it sound better.
