Arrow JHB Performance Remanufactured ROTOR HOUSINGS!

First things first, JHB Performance (www.JHBperformance.com) is by far the BEST company I have ever dealt with, hands down.

JHB offers ceramic coating of rotary parts, namely, aluminum rotor housings. You can get your aluminum housings remanufactured with a harder, lower wear surface, while saving money at the same time ($280 per 12a housing versus $400 per housing).

I first met JHB at Sevenstock7. They had a display, I took their card, and was naturally interested because I wanted to save money by having the 12a housings remanufactured.

I eventually decided to get my 2 12a housings remanufactured with the CermetB coating. They communicated very well during the process, always a good thing for a business to do. When the housings were finished, however, they said one had a small defect, which would still outlast a brand new stock housing, but was not up to their spec. They sent me a FREE housing because of this. They also gave me a lifetime warranty on all my parts bought through them.

Because of these last 2 events, I feel their business practice is amazing. They work with you, communicate well, and are willing to admit when they make a mistake. If they make a mistake, they will correct it.

So, in short, JHB Performance is the place to get your housings remanufactured: better than stock replacement at reduced price, with excellent customer service.

link is good.... try again maybe...

For the oil system upgrade, I am not sure, I think around $150, but don't quote me on that.

Mazdacomp sells housings for around $250, so all a guy has to do is compete in two Solo II events and then you can get that deal. The ceramic coating sounds pretty good, but I'd still put my money in a new OEM housing. Has anyone else done the ceramic coating aside from Mazda and these guys?

The website says that their coating is "proven" to be better than an OEM housing....

The link works fine now. On the lubrication system...

"In addition we feel strongly that injecting motor oil into the engine severely reduces engine life and causes performance hindering carbon buildup. Carbon buildup results in the creation of abraisive particles that accelerate engine wear.

We have designed a system that allows the use of the stock oil metering pump to inject a premium 2 stroke oil into the engine. A good quality 2 stroke oil is designed to burn clean and properly lubricate the internals of the combustion chamber in ways that far exceed conventional motor oils. This system also allows the use of synthetic oils in the oil pan since this oil is no longer being injected into the engine"

They think like I think on that subject.

Thanks for the link !

Sounded to me like they're saying the Mazda Le Mans racing team using ceramic coating on the 787B proved their technology is sound. Does Renesis use ceramics? If not, it seems odd to me that Mazda would not use their own race-developed technology. In other words, it sounds like a reach...

according to the website, the coating IS the le mans stuff.
if that's true, that's proof enough for me.
and give me a break on the "why wouldn't the oem's use it then" arguement.
oems cut out alot of stuff for the sake of mass production.

he is right. As I am in engineering school, I am learning more and more about mass production. Almost all car companies cut costs to save money.

Example:
the 787 B used ceramic apex seals. Do any of the production Rx-7's have ceramic apex seals? NO! Its all about money.

Oh yeah, I have a book on the 787b and the 3rd gen rx7. They did indeed use ceramic coated housings. And they were developing the race motor at the same time as the 3rd gen. The 3rd gen used some of the racing technology, but not all. Example: race clearenced rotors and hardened stationary gears.
