Its ALLLIIIIIIIIVVVE!!!!! Thanks to all on RX7Club.

Got the car started! Our first engine rebuild, actually first time doing anything at all to a car... and seriously could not have done it without you guys. All the advice you gave: Use Atkins rebuild kits. Download the Atkins Video. Take photos of everything. Plastic baggies. Pineapple engine stand adapter. Chaining the pulley wheel. Razor blade cleaning of gasket surfaces. Checking water jacket airtightness. End play measurement. Long cut off bolts to help align engine to transmission (thats my favorite). Priming the oil pump. Making sure TDC via pulley wheel inspection panel. (NOT) crushing the needle bearings when removing the main pulley. Adding two washers to the coolant pump. All of these totally invaluable leads came from you guys and for that Jack and I are eternally grateful.

Now to go after that pretty significant oil leak we have at the back edge of the oil pan. At least we hope its coming from the oil pan.

Smoke. And one day we will replace that antenna.

Purrrrrrrrrrr

One very happy son.

This is a perfect example why forums will forever be superior to Facebook as a platform for knowledge and sharing. You could never get this level of information archived, or even help from people by making a post there.

Congrats on the successful rebuild. It's really cool to see these cars hanging on, and staying on the road!
