Alien_rx7 asked me to send him one of the Lemans stickers for reproduction so I hope he will be able to help anyone who would like one. The wheels are Enkeis which I bought from a guy who had them on a Rx4 last year. The center caps were mismatched and scratched so I tried every one I could find(Enkei was no help) till a 2001 Cadillac Deville fit and I had the stripper who made my RX2 emblem to make me a black rotor and put a silver RX2 in the center to cover the Cadillac crest&wreath. Sorry I had to mess with yawl but what the hay. Behind the wheel is a ground control coilover and volvo 4 piston vented discs I bought off the Aussie forum. If you are really interested I'll take a few pics.

Don't you want it straight-on and not at an angle which would distort the shape?

My 86 GXL has a similar, but not identical sticker. (Gold circle, references to IMSA GTU victories.) I was told that it was factory.

It's in the lower left of the front windshield.

I think the major difference is that mine lists more wins .

Yup, as soon as I receive the LeMans sticker I'll be sending it directly to the supplier to see what he can do and get a quote. Once I post the quote then we can give him a decision or check other avenues.

I'm still waiting to get a hold of an IMSA/GTU sticker since that is what actually started the thread. The LeMans sticker is an excellent bonus! Thanks Mr. Masda

Mar 3 et al, I will take some pics of my 84 and 85 stickers with my 5 megapixel olympus, fitted with the macro lens. This should come out good. I'm learning how to post too, see the pics on cardomain.com.

If I can get a good photo of a minimum resolution of 300dpi, the supplier has said they could most likely reproduce a replica from it. The higher the dpi the better of course

Ray, when you get those photos, I can open a server to have you upload the originals to me and I'll check to see if they're good enough. Also, does your camera have a raw mode? It would allow a picture to be taken without compression loss. Usually saves to I believe a tiff or tga (targa?) format.

Hi Alien rx7, I'll look into this on Saturday when I have some time and what is supposed to be a nice sunny day. The camera is an Olympus C-5050, a high end point and shoot with 5 megapixels. You can see some of the photos I've taken with it on my cardomain web site: http://members.cardomain.com/turd10
These photos are straight from the camera and are about 150-200 kb, not sure about dpi, compression or raw mode, but I will look into this. I will post the pics of the decals there if I can figure out how to add more photos and I will also upload them to your server. Look for a message on this thread sometime Saturday afternoon.

Sounds good Ray. However, at only 150-200kb you are not hitting 5mp. My 2mp camera has files that are 500-800kb on it's highest resolution which is still a jpg (compressed). I would think that your file is that small because your camera was set to a lower resolution or you shrunk it for the cardomain page. I look forward to some picks this weekend!

OK this is what I got so far, this one a tiff for the 85. Still some reflections from the flash, 84 coming next.

OK, this is what I got so far. From the 85 GSL, I have a raw file of it. My 84 sticker is a bit more faded but I have it too.

Ray,

Looks like you're having trouble posting a picture I think it has to be smaller than 102.4kb for it to upload to rx7club. Otherwise you will need to upload it somewhere else that allows larger photos and then link to it from your post here.

That one turned out pretty good! If you have the raw format for that one, I'd like to check it out.
