But good info, nonetheless, since the subject was brought up. Anybody have the connections to maybe reproduce this item?

I'm hoping I might have the right connections. I've just posted email to them to see. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get a few replies back. I'll let y'all know what happens.

Ok, just an update. Two of the replies I've received back already. First comes down to having a good artwork reproduction of it or a good digital photograph of one and having a print shop send it to their sticker supplier. Usually doing it that way they recommended to purchase a minimum of a 1000 because of cost per quantity.

The second reply was it would be copyright infringement and we would need permission from Mazda to reproduce them.

Still waiting to see if I get more replies back.

If anyone can get one off and then go over it in Illustrator it would be fairly easy to make some up. The thing should come off with a razor scraper if you're careful, might be easier to remove the glass first.

Ok, got a source that can make them, here is their reply:

If you can get me one of those stickers, I can do it. I have a vinyl printer/cutter, but I need a good copy to work from. Let's discuss options.

Steve
I've written him letting him know how hard it will be to obtain one but if I can find one that has been preserved or one that has been taken off the glass in good condition, I can send it to him.

So with that, does anyone have one available? If not, I'll start hunting around for a glass triangle with it on it and ship that to him.

I have the original round stickers from Mazda after we won Lemans tonight when I get home I will post a pic. No one has these and I have at least 3 left so if yawl can make some from the original. I must be getting old(hell I am) but it something like powered by the rotary engine and I can not remember the rest and I have one of them on my front windshield.

Can't wait to see a pic of it. If it is different than the IMSA sticker we have, maybe I can convince the Steve to reproduce it too!

its not paper. i believe its like a foil sticker. that may be a great idea. my only worry about getting the sticker off is going to be the window tint that is placed there by the factory.

I am not a computer person and I've had a heck of a time trying to take a picture that work on the forum. I do not know anything about picture size etc and the picture keeps coming out not clear but here goes.

Look at his SN and his reference to a past LeMans win and he's in FL...this guy must have some heavy Mazda connections...I doubt if they were ever offered to the public, just dealers who were race-savvy and the race community itself...

As a matter of fact I did get those stickers from Mazda back in the old days when I sold Mazdas and our local sponsored RX7 won the Daytona 24 HRS and Sebring Oh the good olde days before the piston crowd got worried and out lawed us. I have 2(two) stickers left so if someone has the want and capibilties to reproduce these let me know but of course I would want my sticker back. Check out my sticker on my wheel and tell me where the sticker and center cap came from? Happy holidays.

The sticker is prolly JDM from the distant past. The rim is a dead ringer for the vette wheel....pull it and let us see what you did for brakes and coils, mrmasda...

I got em on both my GSLs, they are in great shape and a nice touch. The one on the 84 goes up to 83, the one on the 85 goes up to 84. I'll bet I could take pictures with my 5 megapixel digital camera and post them, if someone told me how to do this.

Bright sunshine at an angle to the glass so it doesn't reflect into the camera, kill the flash, then send it to me so I can saturate the color, trim it and get it under the posting size here. If the person who wants to get it done likes it, the I can take the original, trim to a circle and send the big file to him for his printer/reproducer chums who have agreed to try this...
