I'm Back!

Hi guys!
I've been gone off this board since August, me thinks?
It is good to see a lot of familiar names still around!!!!

Changed e-mail address, computer, etc. Had a tough time re-establishing this same user account.

I just set up some stuff about my Project car. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

I've enjoyed the rants on your site. I also prefer not to eat smog. Looking forward to seeing the MG running under rotary power!

Great update! Looking down at where the battery tray used to be reminded me of mine before I removed the RX-2 parts in favor of '74 and later stuff (easier to find). I installed my REPU 13B and 4 speed tranny without too much trouble. No cutting or welding, just a few new holes drilled was all it took. I also needed to get the driveshaft shortened by 60mm (40mm for the '73 to '74 coversion plus 20mm for the 12A to 13B conversion).

Talking Scary

So I make a hard copy of your web material, take it out to the garage and hold it up in front of "Lil Bits," my '67 MG Midge....She just about Jumped off 'er jackstands in fright. She knows there's a lot of Mazdas 'round here, but she never imagined a heart transplant!

Nice work, Wrench-hand...
Good to have yuh back...

Nice site. It makes me feel bad for whinging about all the work I'm putting into my 7. At least I haven't had to change to another body!

A vague request:
I see that you've added another page today. If you are taking any more photos, I'd be intertested to see a shot of what the MG body looks like. There's the first picture at the top of the main page, but that's just the front and I couldn't find any others that really show how the car looks.

Thanks,
ScruffyChimp

ScruffyChimp,
I'll have to scan some photos of my car that I took before taking her apart. Didn't have a digi-cam back then. I don't think anyone had digi-cams back then it's been so long. Here's a pick I stole off the web a long time ago.

Denny,
just a general comment about your posts. You always make me laugh! Your a good man.

I probably make a couple of more pages as the week goes on.

Interesting update. Wow, your car was really stripped! Would you like to do it all over again? On mine? I'm just joshin' with yah. But I do need a break and shock job. Do you have any pointers or tips to doing the breaks?

'77 and won't need to pass emissions tests anymore. That's partially why it's been sitting so long. It just needs brakes, shocks, seats, some rewiring and new switches, and most importantly, an engine.
