Exclamation Idling constant?

My car idles at 1000rpms and is constant. Is it running to high? What is the correct idle? And only owning a 7 for a few months is this hard to correct

750 is spec. Check the links in the FAQs for Sterling's writeups on the Nikkis.

I've read that the motor wants to idle at 900rpms, but I have heard people also idling up to 1,100rpms, or my motor that idles at 800rpms. I think if you have it in that range there then you'll be okay.

I will try to correct when I'm off of work. If its a vacuum leak will I be able to turn it past 1000? Just trying to eliminate all possibilities.

Thanks

Vacuum leaks tend to raise idle and not allow it to go down.
