Longer screwdriver. Or if you don't need emissions, rip 'em all off.

Yup, longer screwdriver that doesn't locate your hand over the hot oil filter like mine does. Also a lot of patience and the zen of being able to screw in something that you can't see will come in handy. I'd keep the emission stuff though, you might need it to pass inspection or to sell your car someday.

Why would you want to sell it?

16" screwdriver works best as far as length.

Use a flashlight to spot the screw. I haven't been able to find the screw without one.

Yup, the flashlight is definately helpful. Also I discovered yesterday that if you do it with the engine off and cold it's a lot easier. Mine was idling too low (around 500 rpm) so I just turned it in a quarter turn, then checked to see what I got. With a little luck you'll get a perfect 850 rpms, like I did.
