Arrow Idle adjustment...

I know there have been many other threads on this same topic, but can i have a description of what the the actual screw or whatever looks like and where it is in the enjine? My car idles at exactly 1000 and I want to see if we can go a bit lower.

I'm also not sure what to set it at, but I was thinking about 700-800 would be a good idle for an fb.

800 when warm is normal. Do you have a 12A carb'd or 13B EGI?

Well, thanks for the help! *sarcasm*

Can you tell me where the thing is to adjust it? It would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There's an air screw right on top of the Dynamic Effect Chamber (that boxy thing with RE-EGI written on it) - it's the only big screw, surrounded by a metal border. It's the equivalent of an idle adjust screw

Ok, thanks man. By the way, I notice you've taken to automatically describing the dynamic effect chamber since everyone ends up asking you what it is. "that boxy thing with RE-EGI written on it"

Oh, Also, this'll probly sound stupid to me once I take a look at it, but which way do you turn to lower RPMs?

can't remember. Give it a half-twist and see what happens. If RPMs go up, turn the other way

Counter-clockwise is the way to lower on the 12As... I think for consistency, it's likely the same for the FI 13Bs too

On my 13b you turn it left to bring the RPMs up. Right to bring em down. So yes, Gump was right, and no, it must not be the same as 12a.

There ya have it
