idle at 1900 rpm and bad gauges

Bought a 85 gsl se. It starts up great, dude before me did some basic stuffl like plugs fuel filter and some other things... Car drives great other than that and oil and temp gauges dont work and it'll sorta bog at cold start if given too much gas. I was messing around with some wires and the battery gauge started working and the oil pressure gauge maybe works??? itll like not work then sorta kinda move a little to like 5psi.... . I have so many questions but I will list them in order of importance. I'd really appreciate any response. Oh yea... I saw sum leak on my drive way after letting her sit for a bit. I think it was oil coming near the front towards the radiator.

How do I get my car to idle right? I know its suppose to be around 800? when I first turn on the car when cold it'll want to die but quickly idles around 1000-1200 then itll go up...
How do I fix oil pressure and temp gauges? Like I don't know where the sensors are so I cant really track wiring........ I'm sorta a noob i wont lie but I've pulled motors so I know my way around stufff..
Any suggestions on where to start replacing stuff? car has 160k miles and I don't know what's been replaced and what hasn't. Oil was done I'm not sure how to check trans fluid.
Last question for now... but uh How do I check compression ?? lol I don't know much about rotarys and I want to make sure the engine is heathy before I start messing with it because I can't even see oil pressure.
last last question where is turn signal fuse or relay or sum... also brake lights neither work and turn signals dont flash in dash thx
Thanks again for any responses, I just want to do this car justice and get it registered for the first time in like 2 decades

This is a great way to start, by looking at the factory service manuals. You can download relevant PDFs here:

Foxed.ca - Mazda RX-7 Manuals

The wiring diagrams show schematics and locations for connectors and some components. With all those problems, I'd first make sure you have a really good ground connection. In the FB 12A (not sure about 13B) there's a ground connection to the drivers strut tower that needs to be nice and clean. Trace the connections coming off the negative terminal of the battery and make sure they are clean.
