any word on the behavor of the car, do they idle fine( assuming they were runnin street port primary)

I think it would be a nice alternative to a straight PP/ big J port,
if the idle and daily driving charateristics all behave basically like a street port, that is untill you open up the secondaries

I don't know about the stationary gears but O.S. Engines (an R/C engine producer) has been putting needle bearings in the rotor bearing race of their single rotor .30 cu in engine for a long time now.

Secondary bridge or peripheral ports (with street ported primaries) still have the rough "brapping" idle. This is because the exhaust gasses still "see" the intake charge through the overlap with the secondary port. Though apparently it isn't as severe due to the reasons mentioned in that article you posted.

I cant remember who it was, but there was someone on here doing it. They chopped up and made a realy scarry looking intake from a 89 TBI. and they ran both. there was pics up about 10 months ago. of teh intake only though. I guess it made pretty good pwr. I also have a friend that ran a motor that had street portsa and p ports but he had different intake manifolds, and would block off the p ports and run the street ports or change the intake and only run the p ports. kinda cool. But lets get serious, if you want a race engine then go all the way and save the trouble. Plus i think that if you ran primary then had secondary come in then i doubt it would be a smooth transition, i think it would have a big flat spot or something. Just my thought. On that motor though that ran the TBI i heard it worked good. i dont know if it was secondary set up or it ran all ports all the time ???? it was in CA and if i heard the guys name again i would recognizre it. i think its been a while since he posted. wate stop i just thought of his name, i think it was chris speed. My personal thoughts though is that you jsut cant beet the full p port. They are ausome and i have one and i think they are the coolest.

well personally i dont have a prob with the brap happyness of a bridgeport/jport/PP

I just dont want to run a PP motor, and am even starting to second guess the monster bridge port motor from pineapple i was looking at.

ill just go turbo, you know the easy way out

Sounds like an allright plan. Personaly i would rather run a pp motor than a monster bridge any day. the pp will last longer and wont have that degree of falure looming over your head. turbo is not a bad way to go but it is more expensive.

How many miles do PP motors last? I think the number for bridge ports was 30k, but I've never heard a number for PP.
