Thank you for all the input I really appreciate it. It sounds like I will enjoy a TURBO 2 but it will not replace my SE that I miss. I guess the only solution is to find both so I can have my cake and eat it too. Now, where is that MONEY tree?

I drove a 93 modified RX-7, and my current 83 GS with gsl-se engine. I've been passenger in a 88 GXL and in a 85 gsl-se.
I was reaaalllyy impressed by the GSL-SE, more powerful than the gxl, I could say that my 83 was a lot faster than the 2nd gen i've been in. But i loved the sound of the 6-port 13B in the 88.

i've driven both ... i've owned 4 FBs and my sister had an FC that i drove fairly frequently.
my take on it is this -
although the FCs are bigger and heavier, i don't think you'll be disappointed if you know what you're doing in terms of a few good suspension mods. a well setup FC can compare to an FB - in my experiences.
granted, i still always felt that something was missing, but i think it was just the raw passion that i have for the FB making me a harsher judge. when all is said and done, i would buy a T2 (or NA) if i had some extra money and no other pressing matters (like the other cars i want ) ...
i'd say give it a shot ... i'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I had an 84 GS model and then owned an 87 sport. My take is that the 87 had power but felt very heavy. You could fling the back end out on the 84 and break loose the tires. On the 87, after I put turbo II wheels on it and a front strut bar, it would stick in any corner. The styling on both is personal opinion thing, but I liked the 84 better because its shape was the closest thing to the original one back in 79.
